Collaborative vision for GSSA as follows:
• Transform GSSA into a vibrant, transparent, continuously flowing, self-sustaining, environmentally robust and constitution-based Sikh institution based upon the highest Sikh core values & ALL inclusive practices. It is an institution of the GSSA Sangat, governed & managed by the Sangat of both genders and for the benefit of the entire Sangat, from very young to very old.
• This should be accomplished as quickly as possible, with initially a higher focus on pre-teens, teens and seniors with greater participation from young parents, college students and women of all ages.
• It will lead to a chain of many strong, inter-connected links. Each link represents a specific age group with different needs based on living in the US and what stage of life they are at:

Vision Chain of Bridgewater Gurudwara, NJ

VIBRANT: Vibrancy can be achieved when every Sangat member is encouraged to share her or his passion related to Gurbani/Gurmat/Sewa, Sangat welfare, uplifting of Sikh image and participation in common interests with neighboring communities. GSSA should be involved in several such activities simultaneously 24/7.
TRANSPARENT: 100% transparency in all aspects of GSSA including finances, sponsorships, membership, elections, Langar, Ragis, programs, salaried employees, general safety, maintenance of property, etc. should be the goal.
CONTINUOUSLY FLOWING: Every management position is occupied by a new member every year or two at the most. A continuously flowing river provides better drinking water as compared to a stagnated body of water.
SELF-SUSTAINING: When Sangat has full trust in management, the institution can sustain itself financially for a long time to come. Transparency helps in developing trust.
ENVIRONMENTALLY ROBUST: Every citizen and institution MUST participate in protecting our environment to keep it healthy for many generations to come. The three R’s of ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ should be followed and the Sangat should be educated in the importance of going ‘Green’.
CONSTITUTION-BASED: Constitution, Charter and By-Laws are both a “guide” and a “glue” to maintain stability and peace in an organization for a long time to come.
INSTITUTION: Meeting the highest standards of a non-profit, tax-exempt and religious organization. It must also meet the local, state and national laws and standards.
SIKH CORE VALUES: Unshakable belief in one God, teachings of 10 Gurus, Guru Granth Sahib our current Guru, Gurbani, Gurmat, Sewa, equality and elimination of ‘Ooch Neech’.
ALL INCLUSIVE PRACTICES: Let us remember Karta Purkh, the One who created us also resides in all of us. Sangat must include all and thereby not exclude any to reinforce Sikh core values and practices.
GSSA SANGAT: Those who are Sikhs at heart and consider Bridgewater Gurudwara as their primary place of worship.
CHAIN: The word chain is a symbol for the entire GSSA community. Each chain link represents a different age segment of both genders of the Sangat. For the whole chain or community to be strong requires that every chain link as strong as possible; no link can be weak. Each link can learn from the nearby links on its right and teach to the nearby links to its left. This is a more appropriate model for the rapidly and technologically changing and ever shrinking world, where generation gap is being replaced by a decade gap and the decade gap is gradually being replaced by even smaller time gaps.
Communications are more effective between neighboring links. This will lead to spiritual growth for both individuals and communities and will be in the best interest of our children for the next few generations to come. They will have a higher level of courage to meet many challenges ahead as they practice their Sikhism in the mainstream in any part of the world
